Shabana Markar is the founder of The Mercy Mission. She hopes not only to one day lead a revolution in healthy fast food but also to spread charity through her nonprofit, Miracles 4 Mercy, at the same time.
Shabana graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in English Literature and Arabic and a minor in Creative Writing. She also holds an MFA in Creative Writing from San Jose State University and recently became a Jay Shetty Certified Life Coach to further develop her dream of spreading emotional harmony and well-being. Having worked in a hospital for 23 years helping to fight cancer, she hopes her new book, Love Me First, Love Me Last, will share unique insights into how she learned the true meaning of self-love through hardship.
Shabana’s greatest sources of joy are her two children and her family. As she takes the stage to speak publicly, she hopes to be heard, seen, and shown the same mercy that she deeply believes every human being deserves.
